Where flowers and friendship come together in the East Bay
Where flowers and friendship come together in the East Bay
The Lily Patch isn't just a name — it's an actual garden that was hand-planted, where Lily the goldendoodle spends her days supervising, sniffing flowers, and occasionally digging and sticking her nose in places she shouldn't.
After creating arrangements for a friend's wedding that turned out better than expected, it became clear: this feeling of making something beautiful with your hands is worth sharing.
The Lily Patch workshops are all about sharing that same experience with others — whether you've never snipped a stem in your life to those who are experienced and know their way around an arrange — we welcome you to spend a few hours where you can literally take time to smell the flowers.
There's something about working with flowers that slows everything down in the best way.
Your hands in the stems, the colors coming together, that moment when you step back and think "I made that."
We are hosting the inaugural Galentine's Workshop at the garden that started it all — at the same place where this whole idea took root. Join us for an afternoon of floral arranging, light refreshments, and the kind of creative escape you didn't know you needed.
Join the waitlist for our February 7th workshop and you'll get first access when spots open up.
Everything's Included
Walk in with curiosity, leave with a finished arrangement. All materials, tools, and guidance provided—you just bring yourself.
Beginners Absolutely Welcome
Never touched floral foam? Don't know a peony from a ranunculus? Perfect. These workshops are designed for first-timers and anyone who loves flowers.
Small Groups, Real Connections
With only 10-20 spots per workshop, you're not lost in a crowd. Meet new people, bring a friend, or come solo and leave with new connections.
Take Home Something Amazing
You'll leave with an arrangement you created, ready to display. And maybe more importantly, the confidence that you can do this again.
When workshop day arrives, show up to The Lily Patch venue. We'll have everything ready—flowers, materials, refreshments, and a relaxed atmosphere where you can take your time. We'll walk through the basics together, then you'll create your own arrangement with guidance every step of the way.
No experience needed. No artistic background required. Just a willingness to try something new and see what happens when you do.
Spots are limited to 10-20 people per workshop to keep things intimate and give everyone the attention they deserve.
Q: Do I need any experience with flowers or arranging?
A: Absolutely not. These workshops are designed for complete beginners. If you've never touched floral foam or chosen stems before, you're exactly who we're hoping to see. We'll cover everything you need to know.
Q: What if I'm "not creative"?
A: Here's the thing about floral arranging: the flowers do a lot of the heavy lifting. You're not painting the Sistine Chapel—you're choosing colors, placing stems, and creating something that feels right to you. There's no wrong way to do this, and you'll have guidance the whole time. People who say they're "not creative" often surprise themselves the most.
Q: Where exactly is the workshop?
A: The workshop takes place at The Lily Patch in Pleasant Hill, California (East Bay). Exact address will be provided when you register for a specific workshop date.
Q: How long is the workshop?
A: Plan for about 2-3 hours. We move at a relaxed pace—no rushing, no pressure.
Q: What should I bring?
A: Just yourself. We provide all materials, tools, and light refreshments. You'll take home your finished arrangement.
Q: Can I bring a friend?
A: Yes! Many people love bringing someone along. The more the merrier. You can also come solo—you'll meet other great people there.
Q: Will I really get to meet Lily?
A: Absolutely. She considers herself the official greeter and takes her role very seriously.
Q: What if I can't make the workshop?
A: You are welcome to let us know within 5 business days prior to the event for a full refund. Otherwise you're welcome to apply it to a future event (up to one time).
